David Linton’s art combines the very best of color and light with a precise detail that renders all of his paintings to realism. He has developed a unique “masking” technique resulting in sharper, more colorful images taking the form of surrealistic reflections of light. This award-winning artist has exhibited in some of the leading galleries and is a well-known lecturer.

Linton has been commissioned by many organizations, including the 1992 and 1995 America’s Cup Syndicates, the America’s Cup Organizing Committee, the San Diego Yacht Club, Union Bank of California, the San Diego Marine Trade Association and the Arthur Ashe Aids Foundation, among others. He has also distinguished himself by completing an epic mural on the campus of the historic Naval Training Center in Point Loma, California. Linton has also done murals for Starbucks and Golds Gym.

David Linton was born in Hartford, Connecticut and moved with his wife to San Diego in 1985. Linton works in oils, water color, acrylics, pen and ink and pastels. With a unique flair, this talented artist sometimes combines mediums to that special effect.
